DeAnn Margaret Huhn, 53, of Beaumont, Texas, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
A native of Iola and a resident of the Beaumont area for 27 years, Huhn taught first grade at Pietzsch MacArthur Elementary School for 17 years.
Survivors include her husband, Michael J. Huhn, of Beaumont; daughters, Barbara Forquer and her husband, Sean, Robinson, Texas, and Michelle Johanningsmeier and her husband, Benjamin, Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Caitlin Amanda Forquer and Gillian Marie Johanningsmeier; brothers, Stephen St. Clair and Kenneth St. Clair; a sister, Susan Owens; and many nieces and nephews.
A sister, Judith Grittman, and her parents, Freda and Cecil St. Clair, died earlier.
Mass of Christian burial was celebrated today at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s Funeral Home, 1605 N. Major Dr., Beaumont.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lansing under the direction of Leintz Funeral Home, 4701 10th Ave., in Leavenworth.
A gathering of her family and friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Christian Vigil at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
