The City of Iola is now accepting applications for a WASTEWATER DISTRIBUTION OPERATOR. This entry level position works under the general supervision of the Gas, Water and Wastewater Distribution Superintendent performing a variety of skilled and technical work in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems. Will also be cross-trained to perform repair, maintenance and construction work for the gas and water distribution systems. Minimum qualifications include skills operating basic hand tools, a high school diploma, a valid Kansas DL and the flexibility to work after hours "on-call" duty for Gas, Water or Wastewater when required.
