Hurt — Reel

Daniel James Hurt and Lindsy Diane Reel were united in marriage on Oct. 3, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. Father Bernie Gorges officiated the ceremony.
The groom is the son of Ron and Marilyn Hurt, Chanute. The bride is the daughter of the late James Reel and the granddaughter of John and Hazel Robb, Humboldt.
Jill Davis, Sedgwick, aunt of the bride, served as matron of honor. Mike Hurt, brother of the groom, was best man.
Jadyn Burkholder, Sedgwick, cousin of the bride, was the reader. Paul Vernon, Iola, was soloist. Rosemarie Jay, Humboldt, was the organist. Adam Trim, Humboldt, cousin of the bride, was the usher.
A cake reception followed at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall.
Mrs. Hurt is a 2000 Humboldt High School graduate. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Wichita State University and will graduate in May from Labette Community College with an associate’s degree in applied science in radiologic technology.
She is a radiologic technologist at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
The groom is a 2002 Chanute High School graduate and earned an associate’s in science degree in 2003 at Flint Hills Technical College.
He works at Buckley Powder, Aurora, Mo.
The couple live in Humboldt.
