Palmer — Wehlage

Christopher John Wehlage and Elizabeth Reum Palmer were married June 6 at the United Methodist Church in Humboldt. The Rev. Debby Dick performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Sheryl Palmer, and the groom is the son of David and Rosa Wehlage, all of Humboldt.
The maid of honor was Sarah Ford, Overland Park, and the best man was Dustin Wehlage, Humboldt.
Bridesmaids were Nicole Murray, Sarah Young-Palmer, Emily Adams, Keyna Bair, Robyn Schmitz and Chelsey Gobbo.
Groomsmen were David Hillmon, Mitchell King, Eric Byers, Cameron Coronado, Mike Miller and Brad Witherspoon.
Seating the guests were Adam Tilman and Michael Bauer.
Flower girls were Emily and Allison Fields, cousins of the bride; the ring bearer was Maddox Wehlage, nephew of the groom.
Candlelighters were Bo Meisner and Colin Coronado, cousins of the groom.
Jim Palmer, father of the bride, was the soloist, and Colleen Pearman played the organ.
A reception, dinner and dance followed the ceremony at Madison Avenue Steaks and Chops in Iola.
Mrs. Wehlage is a 2002 graduate of Humboldt High School. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and her graduate degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She is employed as a dental hygienist for Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas in Iola.
Mr. Wehlage is also a 2002 graduate of Humboldt High School. He studied at Allen County Community College and the University of Kansas. He owns and operates a landscaping company, SEK Landscape and Hardscape, LLC.
Following a honeymoon to Chicago, Ill., the couple are at home in Humboldt.
