Former Iolan still missing

Brian Trester

It’s been more than six weeks since anyone has seen or heard from former Iolan Brian Lee Trester.
Alicia Trester, Brian’s sister, told the Register that she hasn’t given up hope of finding her brother, but his disappearance continues to devastate her family.
“I know the police have gotten several calls, but those have led nowhere.”
Brian Trester, 27, was last seen just before sunup Oct. 22, when he was headed to work for a trash collection company in Olpe. Trester was born and raised in Iola before moving to Lyon County about two years ago.
His truck, an orange 1989 Chevy pickup, was found unattended on a rural Lyon County road. Family members reported him missing the next day.
Trester is a black male, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair. He may have a mustache.
Anyone with information about Trester’s whereabouts is asked to notify the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department at (620) 342-5545.
