How to help Haiti

The American Red Cross has set up several avenues for donations to assist with the recovery effort in Haiti.
Donations can be mailed to the Neosho Valley Branch of the Pioneer Chapter at 128 W. Eighth St., Coffeyville, KS 67337, or to the national Red Cross headquarters at P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C., 20013. Donors are urged to specify the Haiti earthquake with their contribution.
Donations also can be made by calling (800) REDCROSS or by visiting www.redcross.org.
Subscribers of participating cell phone carriers can donate $5 to American Red Cross disaster relief efforts simply by text messaging the keyword “GIVE” to “2HELP” (24357). Donations will appear on customers’ monthly bills or be debited from a prepaid account balance. Message and data rates may apply. To opt-out, send “STOP” to 24357.
Participating carriers include Verizon, U.S. Cellular and Alltel.
