Iolan Emma Dietrich was treated at Allen County Hospital Monday for smoke inhalation after her house at 806 East St. burned.
Iola firefighters were dispatched to the home shortly before 2 p.m.
The fire apparently started in a front living room, Iola Fire Chief Donald Leapheart said, and had spread to a nearby dining room when firefighters arrived.
The fire was extinguished quickly but smoke and water damage were evident throughout the home.
Ambulance crews from Allen County Emergency Medical Service transported Dietrich to the hospital across the street while firefighters battled the blaze, Leapheart said.
A cause of the fire has not been announced.
