Eagles post win over the Blu-Jays

UNIONTOWN — An early six-point deficit did nothing to deter Uniontown High’s boys Friday.
The Eagles, trailing 12-6 after one period to Pleasanton High, closed the game with a 60-43 run to win 66-55.
“Tonight was a good basketball game and our seniors really stepped up and made some big plays down the stretch,” Uniontown head coach Nathan Hinrichs said.
The Eagles outscored Pleasanton 22-14 in the second quarter, 20-17 in the third and 18-12 in the final eight minutes.
As for the seniors, DuShaun Robinson scored a team-high 23 points to pace the Eagles, followed by Ben Dixon with 19 and Allen Johnson with 10. Others scoring for the Eagles were Zach Travis, 7, Robert Kuns, 5, and Brenton Esslinger, 2.
Tyler Myrick scored 24 to pace Pleasanton. Jon Ransier added 10.
Uniontown hosts Southern Coffey County Jan. 4.
