Humboldt cross country runners earn TVL honors

BURLINGTON — Better late than never. Humboldt High finally sent in results from last week’s Burlington Invitational/Tri-Valley League cross country meet.
Earning All-TVL first team honors was HHS junior Raquel Hill. Hill finished 11th overall and third among TVL runners in the girls’ varsity 4K race. Here time was 17 minutes, 51 seconds.
Receiving TVL honorable mention for the Humboldt boys were junior Reece Criger, senior Cody Wright and junior Jacob Jones. Criger was 32nd overall, 15th in the league at 21:02 followed by Wrigth at 37th overall, 18th in the TVL in 21:12 and Jones in 39th overall, 19th in the league at 21:31.
Also running for Humboldt were freshmen Nick Keazer and Dylan Greve, who were 61st and 67th, in 23:16 and 23:59, respectively. Senior Brett Heslop was 73rd in 234:02.
Placing in a two-mile junior varsity boys’ race for Humboldt were: 12.. Kile Martin, 18:31, 13. Chris Headley, 18:42, 15. Riley Herder, 19:34 and 17. Keifer Rutledge, 20.36.
