Marmaton Valley Jr. High football team beats Crest

MORAN — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s Wildcats defeated Crest Middle School’s Lancers 16-0 Thursday.
Marmaton Valley got a 17-yard touchdown run by Nick Trollope in the third quarter. That plus a two-point conversion made it 8-0. In the fourth quarter, Michael Swift returned an interception for a touchdown for the Cats. They added the two-point conversion.
Trollope had 130 yards on 16 carries and Swift had 20 yards on seven carries.
Trollope had 13 tackles while Garrett Booth and Joey Jefferis had six tackles each. Swift had five tackles and two interceptions.
Marmaton Valley finished 4-3 on the season. Crest was 0-7.
Taylor Davis had 25 yards rushing and 24 return yards for Crest. Brock Ellis had 20 yards rushing and Clayton Miller had 21 yards rushing.
Ellis had nine tackles and a fumble recovery and Miller had seven tackles and a fumble recovery.
Rene Rodriquez had eight tackles and Davis had seven tackles. Braden McGhee made four tackles and Craig Brailler had three tackles.
