Marmaton Valley Jr. High girls defeat Crest in finale

COLONY — Marmaton Valley Junior High's Wildcat girls finished the volleyball season with victories over host Crest Middle School Thursday.
Marmaton Valley won the A-team match 25-15, 25-12. Hannah Endicott served for 15 points. Emily Meiwes and Cheyenne English each had six service points while Kaitlin Ensminger had four, Kaysha Elmenhorst had three and Tapanga Turner served one point.
The MVJH A-team went 6-4 on the season.
In B-team play, Marmaton Valley beat Crest 25-15, 25-18. Emily Boyd and MaKenzie Harrison each had 10 service points. Jocelyn Miller served seven points. English and Shauna Knight had two points and Elmenhorst had one point.
The MVJH B-team went 7-4.
“The girls all finished strong Thursday night. They have come a long ways this season with their fundamentals,” said Jamie Stodgell, MVJH volleyball coach. “The players were fun to watch with their teamwork on the floor.”
