Marmaton Valley Jr. High girls lose two

WESTPHALIA — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s girls dropped two games on the road Monday.
In A-team action, host Westphalia defeated Marmaton Valley 31-13. The Wildcats trailed 19-10 at halftime and only scored three points in the second half.
Foul trouble hit the Cats early and a cold shooting night from the field hampered Marmaton Valley.
Cheyenne English and Kaitlin Ensminger each had four points. Hannah Endicott added three and Ashtynn Louk had two points.
Westphalia won the B-team game 24-20. Marmaton Valley led throughout the game but was outscored 8-2 in the fourth quarter.
Mackenzie Tynon led the Wildcats with 10 points. Scoring two points each were Tessa Olson, Chloe Lhuillier, Sam Root, Emily Boyd and Mariah Root.
Marmaton Valley plays at Crest Thursday.
