Wildcats split with Eagles

MORAN — Marmaton Valley Junior High’s girls rallied but fell short against Uniontown Thursday.
In A-team play, Uniontown defeated Marmaton Valley 22-18. Hannah Endicott fired in 10 points for the Wildcats.
Kaitlin Ensminger had five points. Cheyenne English scored two points and Emily Meiwes had one point.
“We just ran out of time,” said Brenda Mills, MVJH coach, about the late rally by her team. “We continue missing shots in the paint we need to be hitting. The girls never gave up and played hard until the end.”
Marmaton Valley’s B-team notched a 26-15 win. Mackenzie Tynon scored eight points to lead the Wildcats. Mariah Root had seven points and Tessa Olson had five points.
Scoring two points each were Emily Boyd, Sam Root and Chloe Lhiullier.
